A bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth, looks great, and literally “bridges the gap” where one or more teeth may have been.  The restoration consists of two or more supporting crowns connected to the replacement teeth and all are held together and placed as one single unit.   Bridges can be made from gold, porcelain or a combination of these materials and are cemented permanently onto the teeth next to the space.
